On the night of the 10th, a fire broke out in a house in Numazu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, and an 85-year-old woman living in this house was rescued unconscious, but was confirmed dead afterwards.

Around 6 pm on the 10th, a neighbor discovered a fire in a house in Numakita-cho, Numazu City, and notified the fire department.

The fire was extinguished after about an hour and a half by a rushed fire department, but the fire burned the third floor of a three-story reinforced concrete house.

Fumiko Hasegawa (85), who lived alone in this house during fire extinguishing work, was rescued unconscious, but was confirmed dead at the hospital where she was transported.

Mr. Hasegawa was found on the 3rd floor, so police and fire departments are investigating the cause of the fire.
