On August 24th, Mazda USA announced that EV's "MX-30" (Mazda MX-30) will be listed in California in October. The local base price is $33,470 (about 3.7 million yen).
MX-30 powertrain follows Mazda's multi-solution electrification strategy, facing the US market as well as Europe. The first EV will be launched in October.

The Mazda MX-30MX-30 will be the third batch of a new generation of products to join the Mazda card line. The aim is to help customers deepen their connection with the car, spend their own time naturally with the car, and come up with new ways of using the car, creative time and space.
It is reported that MX-30 's design is based on the "soul movement" of Mazda's design theme, which not only further enhances the artistry, but also challenges it to expand its performance. It is based on the beautiful shape and exquisite production created by human hands, while aiming at the change of future-oriented values and being close to the new way of life.
MX-30 will adopt the latest generation of "SKYACTIV-VEHICLE ARCHITECTURE" of Mazda vehicle structure technology. In MX-30, the energy input from the road is concentrated in a specific place, and the attenuation structure is used as the cushioning material to absorb it, which effectively reduces the vibration causing noise without increasing the weight of the vehicle.
Maximum power 143hp of motor
The EV of Mazda MX-30MX-30 will be equipped with the "e-SKYACTIV" of the new generation of electrification technology. The system includes motor, battery pack, inverter, DC-DC converter and so on. The inverter converts the DC current from the battery into AC current to drive the motor, and the DC-DC converter buck the voltage to supply power to the car's 12V auxiliaries.
The motor, inverter, DC-DC converter and junction box are designed as a whole and embedded in the high voltage unit in the front of the vehicle.
In the case of the American specification, the motor leads to the maximum output 143hp and the maximum torque 27.6kgm to drive the front wheel. The size of the high-voltage battery arranged under the floor is carefully selected to minimize CO2 emissions throughout the life cycle.
The compact design of the battery pack reduces the height and minimizes the invasion of engine room space. The battery box is firmly fixed on the fuselage shell of the MX-30, which improves the rigidity of the whole vehicle. The storage capacity of the lithium-ion battery is 35.5kWh.
In the United States, 80% of the battery capacity can be recharged in about 36 minutes with a DC. Mazda's US division will work with ChargePoint to provide charging solutions for MX-30 customers in the United States.
We have also introduced "Mazda ConnectedServices" to enable users to remotely monitor and control the status of MX-30 through the "MyMazda" application. This includes the adjustment of door locks and air conditioners, and the battery status and charging process can be confirmed by APP.
Own "freestyle door"
In the interior decoration of Mazda MX-30, a shape with a sense of falling off is formed around the central console, thus forming an open space. Environmentally friendly materials, such as fabrics made of cork and recycled materials, use to pull out their own natural charm and pursue comfortable interior space. Central Pilars' central open door structure, the "freestyle door" is also a great specialty.
The floating center console is equipped with an electric shift, a multi-function command knob and a "Mazda connection" information system shortcut button. Prior to this, it was equipped with a newly developed 7-inch touch screen for air-conditioning display and so on. Tactile buttons such as operating air conditioners are used on both sides of the touch screen.
The large 8.8-inch central display contains the latest Mazda connections, Apple "CarPlay" and Google "AndroidAuto". Standard "i-Activsense" equipped with the latest Advanced driving Assistance system (ADAS), including Mazda radar cruise control with stop and pectin, blind spot monitoring with response strategy alarm, intelligent braking support, etc.
Lane decompression warning, lane maintenance assistance, load maintenance assistance, driving reminder and high light control are also used.
