Mercari to be listed on TSE Mothers

The Tokyo Stock Exchange announced on the 14th that it has approved the listing of Mercari's Mothers, which operates flea market apps. The scheduled listing date is June 19, and Daiwa Securities will be the lead underwriter.

Mercari was founded in 2013 by Shintaro Yamada, who founded Unou (then transferred the business to Zynga), known as a social game developer. Known for his mobile-focused C2C marketplace offering, he recently launched the bike-sharing "Mercari", embarking on the development of the financial services "Mercari" and to other startups. The company's consolidated sales for the fiscal year ended June 2017 were about 22 billion yen, about 1.8 times the previous year's level, and the net loss was 4.2 billion yen, about 12 times the previous year's level.
