Ito Corporation has developed a power storage system "Blue Storage" that reused electric vehicles (EV) batteries.In a joint development with Chinese companies that collect EV batteries, practical use is expected to be this winter.The price is individually supported, and it will be sold to renewable energy generation facilities such as factories, logistics facilities, and solar power generation.Aim for sales of 10 billion yen a year by 2026.

The first machine started operation at a partner company factory in Yamaguchi Prefecture.A 20 -foot container provided in the rack, 160 battery modules made from EV batteries were installed.The capacity is about 1000 kilowatts.According to Ito Corporation, 100 households can store and supply power consumed a day.Can be used for about 10 years while replacing the battery module.

It can be used as a backup power supply in the event of a disaster at the factory, and will be provided for microglid (small power network) and supply and demand adjustment markets in the future.

Chinese companies collect batteries used for Chinese buses and taxis, and diagnose the capacity when fully charged and adjust their performance.From the company, Ito Corporation purchases batteries and designs the system."Because of the battery used in commercial vehicles, the use is constant and there is little variation in performance."
