VOLVO XC40 Recharge
Run large -scale tests set in Jate Boli
This wireless charging test is one of the many projects planned in the Strategic Initiative "Jetboard Green City Zone".In this zone, it will be used as a on -site test site for sustainable technology development in the designated areas in Jateboli.
Muts Morberg, the head of the R & D department of Volvo Cars, commented on this attempt as follows.
"In the Jetboard Green City Zone, you can try new technology in a real environment and evaluate it over time so that it can be widely introduced in the future. Testing selected partners and new charging technology together. It will be a good way to evaluate an alternative charging system for our future production vehicles. "
Charging test using a charging pad
The charging station used in the test was developed by Momentum Dynamics, the main provider of the wireless charging system. When the corresponding vehicle is parked on a charging pad embedded on the road, charging is started automatically, and the driver can conveniently charge without getting off the car.
In the charging station, the energy is sent to the car through the charging pad, and the receiving unit in the car is obtained.Volvo Cars plans to use a 360 -degree camera system to make the car and charging pads easier. In the XC40 Recharge of the electric vehicle, the power of the wireless charging is 40 kW or more, and the charging speed is almost the same as the wired 11kW AC charger and the wired 50kW DC fast charger.
Scheduled to run more than 12 hours a day and 100,000 km a year
Volvo XC40 RECHARGE, which is used for experiments, will be operated for more than 12 hours a day and will run 100,000 km a year. This is also the first durability test in Volvo's electric vehicle for commercial use.
The wireless charging project includes Swedish Volvo Bill, Volvo Bill, Volvo Car Solled, Swedish energy company "Vattenfall", its charging network, "Incharge", and Jeteboli City.Partners such as the energy company, "Jate Boli Energy", and "Business Region Yae -Boli", a city economic development organization owned by Jateboli, will participate as a partner.
Last year, Volvo Cars participated in the launch of the "Jate Boli Green City Zone" concept that aims to realize transportation without exhaust gas by 2030.By using the actual city as an experimental site, the company aims to accelerate technology and services in fields such as electrification, sharing mobility, automatic driving, connectivity, and safety.
